Final pay increase under Public Service Agreement 2024-2026 - 1% from 1st June 2026

The final pay increase under the current Public Service Agreement 2024-2026 of 1% became due from 1st June 2026, The HSE has not yet indicated when the pay increase will be applied. Amended pay scales are available in the Members' Area of the website under Salary Scales.

The 1% local bargaining fund due since 1st September 2025 remains outstanding and negotiations continue.

Talks on a new public service agreement will commence over the summer.

Executive Committee 2026-2027

There were five nominations for six vacancies on the Executive Committee for a two year period, therefore no election was required. One vacancy remains and the incoming Executive Committee will decide whether to co-opt someone.

2025 MLSA Annual Report

The 2025 MLSA Annual Report has been circulated to members by email and is now available in the Members’ Area of the website in advance of the 2026 AGM at 2pm on 17^th April. The AGM agenda and standing orders and an update on 2024 motions are also available in the Members’ Area. Motions for debate are being finalised and will be circulated shortly.

LabCon 2026 conference programme

The LabCon 2026 conference programme is now available here. The conference will be held in the Lyrath Hotel Kilkenny on 17^th and 18^th April. The MLSA AGM takes place at 2pm on Friday 17th April. See Members’ Area for AGM details.

MLSA AGM 2026 - Call for AGM motions, Executive Committee nominations and bursary applications

The MLSA AGM will take place on the afternoon of Friday 17^th of April in the Lyrath Estate Hotel Kilkenny as part of the LabCon Ireland 2026 conference, held in in conjunction with the ACSLM. The 2025 MLSA AGM will take place on Friday 3rd October at 2pm in the Ashling Hotel Dublin. All members are welcome to attend and no advance registration is required.

2024 MLSA Annual Report and 2025 AGM

The 2024 MLSA Annual Report is now available in the Members’ Area of the MLSA website.

The MLSA AGM 2025 will take place on Friday 3^rd of October at 2pm in the Ashling Hotel Dublin. All MLSA members are eligible to attend. A full agenda for the meeting will be notified to all members in the coming weeks.

Industrial Action called off while unions consider WRC proposals

The MLSA, INMO, Forsa, Connect and Unite have agreed to suspend industrial action following the conclusion of intensive talks at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), at which draft proposals have been agreed between the parties.

The proposals aim address the key issues in dispute for the unions including: a commitment to direct employment; the expediting of the approvals process for replacement and vacant posts; maternity leave replacement; agency conversions; HSCP graduate recruitment;trade union consultation and engagement in the HSE workforce planning process.
